Students from barbering and cosmetology classes visit Edward Williams School

Barbering and cosmetology students from the Career and Technical Education Program (CTE) visited Edward Williams School on Wednesday, January 11, 2023. The students provided haircuts, shape-ups, and hair straightening to their peers at Edward Williams, while being rewarded with valuable on-the-job experience.

“They were very attentive to the needs of their clients,” said Noel Campbell, Director of CTE. “I believe every student walked away very satisfied with their hairstyle and the experience”

The barbering and cosmetology students have already visited Grimes School and Benjamin Turner Middle School. They are continuing to assist the community with the skills they have gained from the CTE Program. They are also getting work-based learning hours that can help them further their pursuits.
