Mount Vernon High School Back to School Night Event

Mount Vernon High School Back to School Night Event

Greetings MVHS Families,

Please join us this Thursday, September 29th from 5 pm - 8 pm for our Back-to-School Night event. We reimagined and redesigned this year's event so that families will have access to several resources and have an opportunity to meet the staff that will be working with your child.

Here is a list of what we have to offer:

Immunizations: Join us if your child is missing childhood immunizations. The Neighborhood Health Center will be onsite to administer any outstanding immunizations regardless of your citizenship status. Students will need these immunizations to stay in school and to go on to work or college.

Public/School Safety with Deputy Commissioner Lackard and Principal Pearce: Join us at 5 pm to discuss school safety, give us feedback, and be a part of the changes being made at the New Mount Vernon High School.

Technology Support: Technicians will be available to help you set up your parent portal account on Infinite Campus or Schoology.

Parent Support & Mental Wellness: We will have several organizations on site that will be supplying information on mental wellness and many other supports that promote the academic and social-emotional success of our students.

Clubs & Athletics: We will be highlighting several clubs and sports in the cafeteria. Come with your child and explore what we have to offer.

Meet Staff: This is an opportunity for you to meet the staff that will be working with your child this year. Learn about the expectations and how you can support your child's success.

Hispanic Heritage: Join us in the celebration of National Hispanic Heritage month. Sample some of the traditional cuisines. We are a community!

Support your child: Several students are taking part in the events and are working hard to make this a fun and informative event. Come out and support them.

See you there!
