Flu Shots

Flu shots are available for a fee from many area pharmacists, medical offices and neighborhood health centers. Residents should check with their health care provider or a local pharmacy chain. Also, you can try one of the local neighborhood health centers listed below. Be sure to call ahead to find out if they have vaccines in stock.  For more information, click here.

Registration Open for Big E After School Program

Registration for the Macedonia Baptist Church's “Big E” After School Program is open from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Applications will be available at the church (141 S. 9th Ave., Mount Vernon, NY). In the program, your child will get homework help, strengthen reading, increase math skills, and do arts and crafts. The Westchester Institute of Human Development will host a Parent Training Workshop for Mount Vernon families from 6 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28, via Zoom.
